Classic Trikebuggy Lower Hangpoint AssemblyAlmost every glider has different risers, some with trimmers & speed systems, and others with two hook-in points in an effort to lower the brakes from the usual "Stick 'em Up" reach for the sky hand position during flight. In order to provide the proper length Hang Straps for the Low Hangpoint Kit to fit, you will need to provide some measurements. CLICK HERE for our Low Hangpoint Kit Measurement Guide. Remove the Hip Clamps, These will not be needed. Position a piece of rubber tubing on the Power Loop where it will dampen the contact point where the Power Loop rests on the hip of the Buggy. |
Use the Velcro strap to hold the Power Loops to the Hip of the Buggy. Make sure the angle of the motor is correct, as described in the Assembly Instructions.
|
Push one end of the Hang Strap through the hip of the Buggy and bring the loop up enough to push the other end of the Hang Strap through itself. Wrap the Hang Strap around both the Power Loop and the steel hip of the Buggy. As the Hang Strap pulls tight, it binds these two together securely. |
Put the Caribiner on the Hang Strap. Bring the riser of your paraglider through the Riser Guide Ring and attach it to the Caribiner. |
Make sure the trimmers are positioned below the Riser Guides in both the slow and fast trim positions. If not, do not use! Measure your risers again, and call TrikeBuggy to get the proper length Hang Straps. The brake pulleys should be positioned above the Riser Guides. |
Looking down from above at the Low Hangpoint Kit properly installed on the TrikeBuggy Classic. Trimmers are easily adjusted on both sides, since they are within easy reach of the pilot. Brakes are now easily reached, as they are positioned just above the Riser Guides on the Power Loops. Brake handles do not need lengthening, since they position the hands comfortably near the shoulders. The Paraglider is now securely attached to the Buggy frame, and the effective hang point is still above the center of thrust produced by the propeller. No need to modify the risers to fit the TrikeBuggy, and virtually any glider can now be used. |
